Class III Scale Module for GH3+

Digital medical scale built into the GH3+ ceiling hoist

The Class III scale is a medically approved digital scale, integrated into the GH3+ lifting module. 
The integrated Class III Scale is used for the medical weighing of patients when lifted in a sling, in connection with, for example, hospitalization in an intensive care unit where accurate monitoring of patient weight changes is necessary. It is also useful in care homes where there may be a need to ensure that an elderly resident maintains a stable weight.

The Class III Scale is the first approved medical scale on the market that is integrated into a ceiling hoist, fulfilling the conditions for medical weighing with calibrated, verified and repeated weight measurements with Class III precision in accordance with EU Directive 2014/31/EU.

The weight is displayed on the hand control with different accuracy in two weight intervals:
100 grams accuracy when weighing patients under 200 kg and 200 grams accuracy when weighing patients from 200-500 kg.

In order to achieve the legally required level of precision, the scale takes into account the specific Gravity factor at the address where it is used, meaning that each Class III scale will be manufactured for the end client – and therefore is not kept in stock.

In principle, the medically approved and integrated scale works the same way as Guldmann's existing integrated weighing module, including with respect to precision, while meeting all the requirements for medical weighing.
