Biomedical Engineer Intern

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists in preventive maintenance, calibration, audit, repairs, condemnation, decommissioning and discarding of medical equipment.
- Executes in-house technical services and products such as, but not limited to, PMS, diagnosis, medical device testing equipment, spare parts, applications training, etc.
- Maintains the PMS Calendar and regularly updates monitoring records on all assets serviced by the company.
- Will also be trained in technical support, customer service and relationship management activities with WPI clients.
- Addresses technical requests coming in via walk in, phone in, email, sms, among others.
- Supports fellow engineers preparing for their effective completion of job orders.
- Ensures quality readiness of the machines and materials by which to conduct quality technical servicing work
- Maintains the physical orderliness of the equipment for servicing as well as the resources to support quality servicing work.
- Assists in the monitoring and management of spare parts inventory.
- Formulates quotes and transmits PMS contracts.
- Trains customers’ personnel – end user & biomedical personnel – on operations, quick troubleshooting, etc.
- Reports technical service concerns to immediate supervisor.
- Promotes quality customer relationships through 24/7 accessibility of technical services and support via phone, sms, and email, among others.
- Contributes to the improvement of TSG processes and delivery of services in terms of work quality consistency, response time, traceability, efficient resource deployment, etc.
- Shares marketing intelligence as gathered in the technical servicing sphere.
- Attends training programs and learning sessions for the enhancement of professional, technical, and personal proficiencies.
- Performs such other duties and responsibilities analogous, germane, or related to and/or implied from the above enumeration of duties and responsibilities.
